In 2018 – Kuckreja & Malaysia Rugby Union (MRU) penned a historic partnership agreement.

Gilbert Rugby would become the Official Ball of MRU, and be used across all levels of the sport, in all corners of the country.

Honoured by this appointment, Kuckreja set out to design the most visually stunning rugby ball the country has ever seen – the Batik series.

An overwhleming succes – the Batik series was swiftly picked up by rugby fans across the whole country, and set a new benchmark for ball design.

In 2021, we released the second edition of the Gilbert x Malaysia Rugby Ball range – the Songket series.

Kuckreja is excited about the rapid and progressive developments made by MRU.

The union has taken many steps to promote the Mens, Womens and Development programmes across the country, allowing the sport to grow year-on-year.
