1946
Established in 1946, Kuckreja & Co [ Kook-re-ja ] is one of Malaysia’s oldest sports wholesalers.
1947
Founded by Tarlok & Teja Kuckreja in their hometown of Kluang, Johor, Kuckreja & Company initially began out as a general retailer selling various assorted products. The business started out operating from the ground floor of the family shop-house, trading textile products catering mainly for soldiers of the British Army based in Kluang at the time.
1960
In the 60’s, Kuckreja changed the direction of its business. It ventured into the retail and wholesale segment of the sporting industry. Slowly but surely, it built up a name for itself in the sports market in Malaysia.
1971
First overseas exports into Singapore.
1990 - 2000
Upon the retirement of the founding fathers, the business headquarters shifted its operations to the capital city of Kuala Lumpur under the helm of Tarlok’s son, Mohanjit Kuckreja.
Over the next 10 years, Kuckreja would acquire the sole distribution rights for several international brands in Malaysia and South-East Asia. Gilbert Rugby, Grays Hockey and Gray-Nicolls Cricket are amongst the flagship brands we are proud to carry.
Under Mohanjit’s guidance, this period of growth saw the company collaborate with some of Malaysia’s top athletes, associations and unions.

2005 - 2010
The company began exporting products to Thailand and Indonesia.
In 2005, Kuckreja & Co introduced our own brand of Trident Sports Equipment. Trident fulfilled a demand for high-quality yet economical range of products. The range encompassed everything from Agility, Track & Field , Goal Posts and Martial Arts equipment. Our goal post and mat manufacturing was an in-house operation.
2012 - 2016
With the appointment of Rajpal Kuckreja – grandson of the late Tarlok Kuckreja, the family business now spans three generations. Kuckreja secures the right to distribute and market Opro Mouthguards.
In 2014, Kuckreja digitised its entire product offering and launched a comprehensive e-commerce store and began shifting to a direct-to-consumer business model.

Opening of a first-of-its-kind concept showroom, further expanding our omnichannel presence.
Our Trident product range has expanded to 1,500 products – encompassing Hockey, Football, Track & Field, Agility, Yoga, Nets, Posts, Kids Active Play
Kuckreja & Co currently operates from its headquarters at Wisma T. S. Kuckreja, No 17, Jalan 20/38a, Taman Sri Sinar, 51200 Kuala Lumpur.
In 2013, we expanded our premises to approximately 14,000 square feet to accomodate our growing needs.
Having established itself in local and regional markets, Kuckreja now supplies sports goods to approximately 250 retailers, clubs, unions and international schools.
